Reading flakk's latest blog post reminded me of some humour I would badly need to add to this blog. My eyes darted to his paragraph about the chio girls they were playing next to at Eunos CC yesterday. Frankly, I prefer to say hawt rather than chio. Chio sounds a tad unrefined, I believe.

So anyways, it made me flashback to the halcyon school holidays of yesteryear, when we went to the Army Open House during the September holidays. I never like going out in odd numbers, as seating is never as simple and that one person usually gets left out. On the way there riding the shuttle bus, I boarded last with the guys sitting somewhere else and had to sit on my own, next to this girl of relatively the same age.

Then the ridicules started pouring in, with Yi Chen and Joseph calling me the lucky guy for getting a seat next to that stranger. She was not to say really hot, but you could tell she'd be the outgoing type who'd go rock climbing. For starters, it was a girl who was going to the Army Open House. Not eye brow raising then I'd like to know what is.

I was dared to ask for her number, in short, and ask I did. Seemed like an awfully chauvinistic thing to do, but I took it on and typed it out in a message, showing my handphone to her. It said something along the lines of could I have your number. Bold and laughably hilarious, but she said no, obviously. Mind you my heart was palpitating, nervous and jittery. It's one of those things that you'd easily look back on and know you'd laugh about.

Haha. :D
